Brisset Racing graduate Bodacious Bay added Grade 1 winner to her resume on Saturday with a victory in the G1 Cotillion Stakes at Parx Racing, marking the first Grade 1 winner selected by RB Bloodstock.

Rodolphe Brisset purchased Bodacious Bay for $350,000 as a yearling for Storyteller Racing and her breeder, Breffni Farm. The daughter of Not This Time is out of Bodacious Babe and is a half-sister to fellow Brisset Racing graduate Royal Spa, a G2 winner and millionaire for Breffni Farm.

Bodacious Bay was trained by Brisset Racing through the early part of her career, breaking her maiden earlier this year before stepping into graded stakes company. She finished second in the G3 Monmouth Oaks in July, another strong performance that further established her as a filly capable of competing at a high level.

She was privately sold following the Monmouth Oaks and made her first start for her new connections in Saturday’s G1 Cotillion, where she earned the biggest victory of her career.

For RB Bloodstock, the result represents an important milestone and another strong example of the value of identifying and developing young horses with top-level potential.

We’re incredibly proud to have played a part in her journey and congratulate her connections and everyone involved!
